Bordering Uva and leading to Nuwara Eliya, is the Uda Pussellawa mountain range. This plantation district encompasses Maturata, located on the eastern edge of Nuwara Eliya and Ragala/Halgranoya which produce teas of medium body and rosy character. Uda Pussellawa enjoys two periods of superior quality - ie. the traditional Eastern quality season from July to September and the Western quality season from January to March.
